About Stephen

Stephen

In 2010, I took my first big step with a digital camera. I enrolled in the Digital Photographic Practice course at the Canberra Institute of Technology. Prior to this, I attained a Cert IV in Screen and Media at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE). My final project at the AIE was to model a game level which I based on a story by J G Ballard.

I use a Nikon D5000. Many of my favourite photos have elements of allegory and metaphor. I enjoy shots of architecture and landscapes. I would also like to explore the world of macro images; I feel it can reveal details that are too often out of sight (and out of mind).

Long exposure photography is my next challenge; the bending of light and blurring of time is a theme that taps into the ideas (and photos) of Jean Baudrillard.

I’d love you to visit my flickr photostream
