Let's see action

Posted by Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 2 September 2011 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

A rally on World Environment Day in Canberra. Here, people are getting ready to march on Parliament House to ‘Say Yes’ to action on climate change. This display of signs was a spot for groups to gather and mingle prior to the march.

a mixed crowd here, good to see, i am sure there would have been plenty of photo opportunities, nice work Stephen...
ps. did you attend the anti carbon tax rally with all the truckies?

2 Sep 2011 12:58pm

@peter.K: Thanks. Peter. I did have a few vantage points picked out along Northbourne Ave - but on the day the truck convoy was quite small and I stayed at home. For a photo shoot, the problem with all rallies at Parliament House is that people are too far away from the House once they arrive. Getting to the 'house on the hill' is much more interesting. A march has drama and movement - as I try to show in tomorrow's post.
