Glasshouse sunrisePosted by Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 19 January 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The sun bursts out from behind the Glasshouse Rocks. To gain a longer exposure, I used a ND110 neutral density filter. (I use this 10 stop filter on most of my seascapes.) I have an extended series all set to go on the George Bass Surfboat Marathon. One of the race days began at Narooma surf beach. Hope you can join me tomorrow when I launch the new series!

@Doug: Thanks, Doug. This filter is well worth the investment. There is a good flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/nd110-filter-group/ with lots of ideas about how to use the filter for city shots, skies and landscapes. @London Caller: Thanks, LC. My favorites are more by the composition and structure of the shot - and this often decides my choice of colour or monochrome. Enjoy your Finland trip! |
