Mirazozo by Architects of Air - part 4

Posted by
Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 20 January 2011 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

This must be the structure marked on my map as The Tree!

While in Sydney recently, I was amazed to see that what at first looked like a giant version of one of those inflatable jumping castles had sprung up next to the Sydney Opera House. Except you don’t jump on it - but rather go inside! This is Mirazozo. It is a luminous maze of tunnels and domes designed by Architects of Air. They have built 15 such bubble domes which have toured the world.

And so in we go! The experience is like walking through a sculpture of colour and light. The sequence of shots you will see in the series follows my progress through each of the coloured domes.

No processing of these shots - apart from a slight tweaking of contrast.

This will be a six part series. I hope you enjoy it!

Love the glow, the colors really bounce off the walls as if they produce their
own light. Like a breathing living entity, this really does seem to fascinate all
the people who enter. A wonderful way to photograph people also, you have
found a shangri la studio for your work. Magnifique.

New revelations of forms and colors wherever you walk. Great colors. I can see why they named it the tree. Are there audible air pumps circulating the air through these bubble domes or is this a quiet journey throughout (exception given to the children, of course)?
