St Patrick's Day was a bit special for us this year. The Alan Kelly Quartet played a gig to open the National Museum's A True History of the Irish in Australia.
For this gig, his band was complete with fiddle, flute and guitar.
Here, you see a final shot of Alan - absorbed in his music. I have a few more shots of the 'Kelly Gang' - but will save these for future posts. This night of traditional Irish music was a treat to attend. I hope you enjoyed the series!
Hailing from Galway in Ireland, Alan Kelly is a very spirited piano accordion player. Alan's brand of Celtic music is in great demand around the world. As a result, he told us, he has not been back home on St Patrick’s Day for many years!
