Sense of scale - part 1

Posted by
Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 21 June 2011 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Size me up or scale me down?

These are choices I present in this rather quirky short series! I hope you enjoy the sense of scale I present in each image.

This first shot is from the grounds of the Australian National University. Can't recall if it is near the school of engineering!

Voilà des niveaux d'eau géants qui permettent d'être d'aplomb et de ne plus mettre la ligne d'horizon de travers! Et en plus, on peut s'asseoir dessus sans perdre l'équilibre!
Bonne journée lumineuse!

This image has everything in it, Stephen! A glorious sunrise through a beautiful tree with a fantastic sunbirst, a lovely landscape and terrain that really reminds me of parts of San Diego...great light and colors, and yes, to perfectly "balance out" this composition, we have this peculiar tool in the front of the frame with a bubble in the middle...:-) I love this one, Stephen...a clever image of a clever idea!

I shudder to think how tall the engineers who use these must be!!
A fabulous ultra wide 16mm frame that plays with the brain and eyes. Maybe those trees are really itsy bitsy ones from a Hornby railway set.....
