I am on the beach in a small fishing village at Yamdena Island. We dropped in unannounced to discover that not many people in the village were at home. Not really a surprise - it was a working day; and of course most people were out at their jobs. You could say they had 'gone fishing'!
The boys here on the beach are standing next to a fishing platform. As you can see, it is still under construction. The villagers take these floating huts out to open water - a comfortable and productive way to fish.
From what I saw, children on the island do not start school until they are a little older than these two boys.
