Gift of refuge - part 3

Posted by
Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 19 May 2014 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Tri Nguyen is all set to launch his model boat on Lake Burley Griffin after completing his long walk from Melbourne to Canberra. A walk of over 400 miles! His pilgrimage was to deliver a model of the boat in which he and his father and sister fled Vietnam in 1982. Tri and his support team pulled the boat on a set of wheels.

It was an inspiring journey and Gift of Refuge by Tri. His walk was possible because of the people he met along the way and their help and welcome. The spirit of hospitality is alive and well - and the most inspiring aspect of Tri's Gift of Refuge. You can learn more about Tri Nyuyen's journey here.

This shot concludes my series. I need to move on as I have a lot of recent photos ready to post. If you would like to see further images of Tri's arrival in Canberra, I have posted these here, here and here.
