The Canberra Show is a regional agricultural show and fair with many prize winners among different livestock and farm produce categories. Here you see two impressive champions. The Capital Region is world famous for its fine wool production.
These sheep do not have an idyllic snowy white fleece. In recent years there has been renewed interest in coloured sheep in varying shades of grey, brown and black. Spinners, weavers, felters and home knitters like to get hold of wool that has not been artificially dyed and there has been a noticeable resurgence of interest in these old-time skills."
