Change is in the air - part 4

Posted by
Stephen (Canberra, Australia) on 12 May 2016 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

The same point of view as my previous post - but a photo I took one year previously. The rows of concrete driveways off the streets show the small size of the housing blocks. The larger blocks of land are for apartment buildings.

This new suburb of Lawson fills in an area of prime real estate within the district of Belconnen. The land here was previously for used for farming - although not very productive with only a few cattle grazing.

Impressionnant, les rues sont faites avant les constructions.Une méthode que nous ne connaissons pas,ici on fait l'inverse.

Quite a change so far!! It is interesting to note that they put the driveways in so early.....unless they knew for certain what was going to be developed on which lots.

A lot has been accomplished in one year! Though I cannot say I like the development of farm land.

Yes, quite a change a year brings. It seems plans were pretty much set even then for this much to be accomplished.
