The Crimson Rosella is one of the most common parrots in my garden. I usually see them in pairs or in small groups. They have a pleasing musical and chime-like call that is in contrast to the raucous calls of some other parrots. Their numbers remain fairly constant throughout the year.
The Crimson Rosella occurs throughout eastern and south-eastern Australia. For nesting it requires tree hollows high in the forest canopy
